Cavite State University (CvSU) will hold the 3rd International Research Conference on Gender and Criminal Justice, December 10-12, 2024, at the CvSU International Convention Center in Indang, Cavite. 

With the theme “The Power of Research: Advancing Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment,” this hybrid conference will be held in observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, a global movement aiming to raise awareness and inspire action to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls.

The interdisciplinary conference provides a platform to explore gender and the criminal justice system in different contexts, and tackle the challenges, latest research, and best practices in promoting gender equality. It centers on the themes Sustainable Development Goals 5 – Gender Equality, 10 – Reduced Inequalities, 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, and 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. 

This activity is spearheaded by the CvSU Gender and Development Resource Center and the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension Services in collaboration with the Philippine Association of Research Managers, Inc. (PHILARM). 

Interested participants may send their papers and presentation proposals from across a spectrum of disciplines, including but not limited to law, anthropology, criminology, security, education, ethnic studies, gender studies, political science, psychology, public policy, social work, migration, and sociology. Cross-cultural and cross-regional comparisons are also encouraged.
